Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite Price in Nepal

Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite Price in Nepal

Xiaomi Nepal has launched the Mi 8 Lite in the market. They are launching here before India. This is a mid range phone and came on September last year. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite price in Nepal is Rs 31,999. This is a close competition to the very famous Mi A2. Xiaomi has lots of phones for mid range market and they do provide good options. The Mi 8 Lite sits in big phone territory with gigantic display and medium range specs.

This phone is Xiaomi Nepal’s first offering for 2019. They are at a good start with a good phone. This is a very famous category for smartphone buyers. Lots of people buy phone from 20-40 thousand rupees range. People want product that gives best specs and value for their money. Mi 8 Lite is a phone which brings new design refresh with less bezels, big screen, popular Snapdragon 660 processor and a better camera. We like the camera specially because this time they have 4K recording.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite Specifications

It is a pretty good phone in our view for the money. This phone can give a touch competition to many other brands. To get a better understanding, have a look at the specs down below.

  • 6.26 inch IPS LCD Screen with notch at top
  • 1080×2280 resolution
  • Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection at front side
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with Adreno 512 GPU
  • 4/6 GB RAM and 64/128 GB storage variant
  • 3350 Lithium polymer battery
  • 12 MP f/1.9 + 5 MP f/2.0 rear camera setup (Maximum 2160p video recording support)
  • 24 MP front camera

In Nepal we are getting 4 GB RAM variant with 64 GB internal storage at this time of launch. The front camera has Sony IMX576 sensor and back side cameras have Sony IMX363 sensors. Sony sensors are famous for superior picture quality and Xiaomi is taking no compromises here.

There is Quick Charge 3.0, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, rear mounted fingerprint scanner and all basic sensors. Mi 8 Lite is currently running Android 8.1 with MIUI. It is sure to get Android Pie in the future very soon. There is Hybrid dual SIM so it does support two SIM but not two SIMs and SD card at same time.

Impression and Comparison

Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is in good path from all points. This phone features a good premium build with glass on on sides and metal frame. Front side is more secure with Gorilla Glass 5. There is good camera with 4K support, dual pixel auto-focus and AI features. If we ought to compare it with Mi A2, we get bigger screen and bigger battery. It has MIUI while A2 has Stock Android. It is a tough competition because camera power is pretty close. The Mi A2 boasts higher pixel count and wider aperture while Mi 8 Lite can go 1080p at 120 fps which Mi A2 can’t.

This comes down to the choice of a customer. Both phones are pretty much same with same processor and same level of RAM plus storage. Mi 8 Lite has the advantage of micro SD card support which is miles better. Users who want stock Android, higher pixel count and a bit better camera should go with Mi A2. People who want better design, big screen, bigger battery, SD card support should obviously go with Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite.
