Activate Friends & Family service

Activate NTC FNF Service

Nepal Telecom introduced the FNF Service in 2015 where NTC customers can create a group of 5 people and talk at a cheaper rate. Friends and Family (FNF) call service is a special facility available for customers in its network. It includes postpaid and prepaid users of all GSM, CDMA, and SkyPhone users. NTC has discontinued CDMA service and shifted users to GSM so this feature is now mostly for them. In this article, we discuss how to activate FNF Service in NTC, and how to remove or change FNF numbers in the system.

Friends and Family Call Service (FNF) is a special service from Nepal Telecom where prepaid and postpaid users of NTC GSM or CDMA service can add 5 people. Then users can make calls on those numbers at a very cheap rate of just 55 paisa/minute. Actually, the discounted call rate in the FNF service is 70 paisa/minute for prepaid users and 55 paisa/minute for postpaid users of both GSM/CDMA networks. Users can also add landline numbers or PSTN numbers in the group and talk at a cheaper rate. There is no subscription charge or renewal charge. This is a great feature for your family members and close friends who regularly make voice calls.

In comparison, the tariff for prepaid is still higher than for postpaid users but overall the rate is very less compared to the normal call rate. These given rates are also applicable during busy business hours or peak times of the network, so that is very useful. In this NTC FNF service, we can use a maximum of 5 numbers and they must be of Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NDCL) or Nepal Telecom (NTC).

The company already has a robust NTC FTTH internet system. They are also providing cheap data packs to users. Still, many people need voice service because that is the default and mobile internet isn’t usable every time or everywhere. Sometimes people like to live offline and without disturbance.
